Prince

Prince was addicted to opioid painkillers. He started using them in the 1980s and lasted for approximately 32 years. His former drug dealer claimed that Prince used opioid painkillers because he suffered from a severe stage fright and couldn’t be in a room with more than five people at a time. He was also paranoid about doctors. After his son died of a rare congenital disease two days after he was born in 1996, Prince’s condition worsened.  He had depression and started stealing pills from his wife. At the time she assumed that he hid them from her so she wouldn’t harm herself. In the end, Prince died in his estate in Minnesota in 2016 from an overdose. Everyone was devastated by the news of his death, nobody could believe it. They were astonished because he was so strong and creative, he sang funk, R&B, rock and roll and he was great at it. To lose an artist that defined the 80s in such a manner was horrible because nobody saw it coming, he was just so full of life and overnight everything changed.
